Skylark
"Crossing Over"
[playback only]
(2016)
"Crossing Over" is an exceptionally beautiful release on the Sono Luminus label, and was mixed in Auro 9.1 3D sound. With the kindness of Genelec we were able to provide high-resolution playback for an audience of approximately 60 as part of the release party.

Skylark
"Forgotten Dreams"
(2014)

"Forgotten Dreams" features inspiring, but seldom-heard partsongs by Brahms, Debussy, Holst, and Saint-Saëns. Recorded live on-location in Brookline, MA over several days in the fall of 2013. We are proud to have recorded, mixed, and mastered this release.

Dephrase
"Gloom Bap"
(2014)

Abstract hip-hop beats bursting with soulful warmth and crisp digital highlights that seem to fit any mood. We provided mastering on the digital release and prepared a secondary master for vinyl cut by others.

Otis Grove

"Live in Boston"

(2013)

Folks who follow Otis Grove love their studio efforts, but the band wanted to bring more of a live feel to their latest release. We set up our 24-track mobile rig at Church for four nights in March 2012, pressed Record and had a great time.

The La De Les
"Carlo"
(2012)

Finding their previous drummer's unique rhythmic style irreplaceable, The La De Les decided to abandon the Rock emphasis of their previous albums for electronic soundscapes, drum machines, looping, trance synthesizers, and drone music beds. "Carlo" is The La De Les' most personal record, exploring themes of guilt, loss, depression, insanity, lust and hope. We provided mastering services on this release.

Michael Louis Smith

(2012)

Presenting the Haiti Suite, a 10-song story about the 2010 Earthquake in Haiti. Featuring the line up of Stacy Dillard on saxophones, Diallo House on bass, Ismail Lawal on drums and Victor Gould on piano. Recorded at TRC Boston and mixed at The Magic Shop NY.

The La De Les
"Gadfly"
(2011)

"Gadfly" is the first, full length album released by La De Les. The lyrical content of "Gadfly" is based on the Haiku, a Japanese poetry form. We provided mastering services on this release.

Jeff Palmer, Devin Garramone and Jon Fisher

"Permutation"
(2010)

Organist Jeff Palmer returns with a follow-up to 2009's "Mayhem". This record was recorded at Northern Track Studio and has received gushing reviews from Downbeat and other jazz publications. If you liked Mayhem, you'll dig Permutation.

The Left Ear Trio

"The Outside Voice"

(2010)

2010 saw the addition of drummer Jon Fisher to the Left Ear Trio, so obviously we had to make a record. "The Outside Voice" feautres our more racous side, serving up funk, jazz and afrobeat sounds with a side of yelling. Featuring artwork by Max Lively, please check our website to pick this one up.

Jeff Palmer, Devin Garramone and Justin Battle

"Mayhem"

(2009)

Legendary Hammond organist and funk/jazz guru Jeff Palmer assembled these 10 tunes from a catalog of over 100 new compositions. These songs are a departure from Palmer's earlier catalog and bridge the ground between funk, hip-hop, dub and avant garde. Available on CDBaby and coming soon to iTunes.

The Rex Complex

"The Rex Complex"

(2008)

We brought Jeremy Gustin and Rex Hussman (along with some friends) into Maximum Sound studios, put 'em all in a room together and the result was some real "roots ruckus". Add to that some unconventional collaborative mixing and the results speak for themselves!

The Left Ear Trio

"Dream"

(2007)

Based around original tunes, telekinetic listening and the Hammond organ, this record has been well received in the weirdest places.... Recorded, mixed and mastered the EP "Dream", the first major release from The Left Ear Trio.

Otis Grove

"Crank it Up"

(2007)

Hammond organ driven trio and quartet, deep, soulful and funky as hell. Recorded, mixed and mastered demo. Mixed and mastered most recent EP, "Crank it Up". Now available on Ropeadope Records.
