Studio Recording

The raison d'être for sound recording is to preserve a meaningful artistic expression. We specialize in creating the conditions under which people play their best. As such, we have excellent relationships with many studios in New England and New York, and can help you figure out the best place for your project to be realized.

Mixing

Our mix system is predicated on Apogee Rosetta converters and analog summing. Our hand-wired passive summing bus is based on the topology of the venerable Neve 8068 series consoles, followed by 1272-style line amplifiers. This system combines absolute recallability with a pure analog signal path. For larger projects, we often find ourselves at the helm of some of the Northeast's finest Neve consoles.

Mastering

The final step in the recording process is also the most delicate. Mastering projects are prepared in Wavelab and delivered as DDP images, CD premasters and/or encoded files. Our  preference is for stem mastering, which allows us to tweak balances and employ our analog summing magic. We also provide archival and noise reduction services.

Location Recording

We have a working technical knowledge of building wiring and earth systems, technical grounding and split microphone systems. We can provide splits, snakes, Dante network, and MADI connectivity.
